A Quilt for Owen

This is the last of my Christmas projects.  I started this quilt when Owen was born, and delivered it this weekend.  The bright colours caught his eye immediately.  I am not used to using such bright colours, but it was a fun quilt to make!

This quilt is meant to be used, loved and worn out.  I placed it on the floor and placed our baby on it.  I hope that he will enjoy it for many years to come.  The top is pieced from cotton material...the back is a bright striped flannel...cosy and warm.

I happen to love Christmas and I think I have discovered why that is.  I love making gifts from the heart...and giving them to people I love.

Christmas (2011) prep has begun already, as I piece together a quilt for my granddaughter.  If I learned anything this year, it was NOT to leave projects to the last minute.

Many people have mentioned that they are not seeing the pictures that I post on my blog.  Please... if you do not see this quilt, leave a comment.

Until next time.....

  2. Just beautiful, Wendy.
    Happy New Year!

  3. Beautiful!! Owen loves it already, today he was grabbing at the material and feeling the texture where you had sewed one of the bears on!! A beautiful keepsake that will be loved for years to come! I love the bright colours.
    Thank you!! xox
