Yesterday, Alexia came to visit. We took in a show and did a little painting... Today we went for a "nature walk."

| We headed down the Dam to see if the Walleye had arrived to spawn. We didn't see any but the Ministry of the Environment was on scene, preparing for their arrival. |

| The geese are very noisy now, and have paired off. We expect that soon they will their young to our little inlet |

| Daffodils and Tulips are starting to poke through the warming earth... |

| Bird nests are easier to see when there is no foliage on the trees. |

I think Alexia learned a lot on this walk. All these things she would be curious about. I was about the same age when My Mom showed me a mallard drake. I've been interested in birds all my life.

ReplyDeleteA wonderful spring walk! It must be super to have little people come to visit and walk. They often see things our grown-up eyes miss. I'd rather see house flies than black flies! lol Except that the back flies do give our hungry little song birds something to eat, and that's a good thing.Did I just say something positive about black flies? Ha!
